# SOP review checklist

Use this checklist for one current procedure. Choose the cadence from the task's risk and change; it is not a legal or certification interval.

- [ ] Identify procedure reference, released version, owner and eligible reviewer.
- [ ] Record the trigger and why this review is due now.
- [ ] Check outcome, scope, prerequisites and access.
- [ ] Test the ordinary path with safe fictional data.
- [ ] Test the missing-information and unavailable-owner exceptions.
- [ ] Verify decisions, acceptance checks, links and screenshots.
- [ ] Record findings and disposition: maintain, revise, retire or investigate.
- [ ] Assign each open action to an owner with a due date.
- [ ] Review the draft and publish the approved version when changes are needed.
- [ ] Decide which people and reference copies need an update or practice.
- [ ] Record reviewer, decision date, evidence reference and next review with its reason.

Fictional example: CS-001 v1.0, Customer Success. A new CRM receiving-team field triggers an early review. Revise the step, test the exceptions and obtain review before publishing. A 90-day starting cadence is illustrative, not required.
